Il s'agit de la conclusion de la saga spin off de Covenant, après plusieurs années d'attente. Seth est un personnage qui a énormément évolué depuis la série originelle, passant d'un garçon conléreux et égoïste à un homme soucieux des autres et de leur bien-être, particulièrement en trouvant l'amour avec Josie. Il a également du apprendre à faire face à la montée de ses pouvoirs, non sans difficulté.

De son côté Josie est une héroïne tenace, qui a vécu des choses horribles, et s'en sort plutôt bien compte tenu des circonstances. Leur relation est malmenée par les épreuves, mais leur amour est plus fort. Cette épiloge réserve comme d'habitude un combat époque, des drames qui font serrer notre petit coeur, pour une fin douce-amère car JLA ne ménage jamais nos émotions.
