Après avoir beaucoup aimé Falling into you, j’ai voulu lire le roman suivant de Jasinda Wilder, qui m’avait l’air aussi intriguant avec une stripteaseuse vierge en héroïne. Il s’agit en fait d’une romance contemporaine très mignonne qui n’a pas la même intensité que l’histoire de Nell et Colton, mais qui a quand même sa part d’émotion et de sentiments.

Après s’être disputée avec son père pasteur, Grey s’enfuit pour faire les études dont elle a envie. Elle doit néanmoins travailler pour vivre et financer l’université, et finit à contrecœur par être stripteaseuse. Terrifiée et le cachant à tout le monde, elle tombe néanmoins sous le charme d’un de ses clients, Dawson, qui est un acteur connu et séduisant avec qui elle doit travailler pendant son stage.

Grey est une jeune fille innocente et inexpérimentée qui doit tout découvrir de la vie et l’apprend de manière rude, mais heureusement elle est prise sous l’aile de Dawson, un héros craquant qui a envie de la protéger. L’intrigue est donc très classique mais mignonne comme tout, et on prend plaisir à voir leur relation se construire. Il y a quelques scènes hot mais rien de très poussé, l’auteur se focalisant sur ce couple mais également sur le chemin parcouru par Grey qui grandit à travers les épreuves qu’elle vit, dépassant sa peur et ses préjugés pour atteindre son but en dépit des obstacles.

Ce n’est pas une grande œuvre pleine de dramas et d’émotions graves, mais cela reste une romance jolie et douce, et c’est un stand alone.

Ca fait longtemps que tu l as lu non? Parce qu'il me semblait que je l avais lu suite ton avis, en tout cas j ai bien aimé, surtout le canon Dawson, ca fait un peu conte de fée moderne.
